Why connect Telegram to WooCommerce
WooCommerce runs a large share of small and mid-size stores in the UK, EU and US. A Telegram storefront reuses the WordPress catalog and order flow and adds Telegram notifications and recovery. Without the integration, Telegram becomes a separate silo; with it, every chat, order or request lands on the right record, your team gets alerts where they already are, and customers get updates in the chat they actually read.
How the integration works
- Auth. REST API keys with read/write scopes; webhooks on order events.
- Catalog. Products and stock synced to the Mini App; categories and variations supported.
- Checkout. Orders created via API with the chosen gateway, or WooCommerce checkout opened from the Mini App.
- Post-purchase. Status changes trigger Telegram messages; coupons and cart recovery via bot.

Data and compliance
Telegram IDs, usernames and phone numbers are personal data. We capture consent in the bot or Mini App, support unsubscribe and deletion, and keep data in your WooCommerce region and your cloud region. A data flow document is provided for your DPO where GDPR, UK GDPR, PIPEDA, the Australian Privacy Act or regional laws apply.
