Why connect Telegram to Bitrix24
Bitrix24 dominates in the CIS, Central Asia and Eastern Europe and has a strong footprint in the Gulf and Brazil. It is unusual among CRMs because it ships a native Telegram connector for Open Channels; we build on top of it for Mini Apps, commerce and custom automation. A Telegram bot or Mini App without the integration creates a second customer list that nobody maintains; with it, every Telegram interaction lands on the right record, managers get alerts where they already are, and customers get updates in the chat they actually read.
How the integration works
- Auth. Webhooks for simple server-to-server calls, or a local application with OAuth for multi-user access and event subscriptions.
- Open Channels. The native Telegram connector routes chats to operators; our bot adds Mini App flows (forms, catalogs, payments) that write to CRM entities the connector does not cover.
- Automation. Robots and automation rules call our webhook on stage changes; the middleware sends personalized Telegram messages and updates the timeline.
- Commerce. Orders from a Telegram storefront become Deals with products from the Bitrix24 catalog; payment status syncs back.
Typical flows
- Mini App form → Lead with Telegram ID, UTM and responsible manager
- Open Channel chat + Mini App actions in one timeline
- Deal stage → Telegram message with invoice (Stars, card or bank)
- Task reminders and approvals for internal teams in Telegram
Architecture
| Layer | What runs there |
|---|---|
| Telegram | Your bot (grammY or aiogram) and Mini App; users never leave Telegram |
| Middleware | A small service on your cloud (Node.js or Python): auth with Bitrix24, upserts, dedupe, templates, rate limits, retries, audit log |
| Bitrix24 | Native objects and automations; no custom code inside Bitrix24 beyond fields and triggers |
| Monitoring | Failed syncs alert your team in a Telegram group; a daily reconciliation report catches drift |
We keep business logic in the middleware so that Bitrix24 upgrades, API version changes and bot changes do not break each other. The middleware ships with tests, an admin page for retries and documentation your developers can extend.
Data, consent and compliance
Telegram user IDs, usernames and phone numbers are personal data. The integration stores consent (captured in the bot or Mini App), supports unsubscribe commands, honors deletion requests by removing the Telegram identity from Bitrix24 records, and keeps data in your Bitrix24 region and your cloud region. For GDPR, UK GDPR, PIPEDA and the Australian Privacy Act we provide a data flow document for your DPO.
