Why connect Telegram to Tally
TallyPrime is the accounting backbone of Indian and Gulf SMBs. Because Tally runs on-premise, integration uses its XML/HTTP interface through a connector that syncs orders, invoices and payments with Telegram. Without the integration, Telegram becomes a separate silo; with it, every chat, order or request lands on the right record, your team gets alerts where they already are, and customers get updates in the chat they actually read.
How the integration works
- Access. Tally’s HTTP server enabled on a machine with network access, or a cloud connector.
- Inbound. Sales vouchers created from Telegram orders; ledgers created for new customers.
- Outbound. Payment vouchers polled → receipts in Telegram.
- Catalog. Stock items and rates feed the Mini App.

Data and compliance
Telegram IDs, usernames and phone numbers are personal data. We capture consent in the bot or Mini App, support unsubscribe and deletion, and keep data in your Tally region and your cloud region. A data flow document is provided for your DPO where GDPR, UK GDPR, PIPEDA, the Australian Privacy Act or regional laws apply.
