Design constraints that shape a good Mini App
- Entry from a chat. The user tapped a button in a conversation. The first screen must confirm what the app is and let them act within seconds.
- Telegram’s chrome. The app is framed by Telegram’s header and controls. We use the SDK’s Main Button, Back Button and settings button instead of inventing our own.
- Themes. Users choose light or dark themes and custom colors; the SDK exposes theme parameters and we design with them, not against them.
- Devices. Most sessions are on mobile, but desktop and web clients matter for productivity apps. Safe areas, keyboard behavior and fullscreen mode differ per platform.
- Performance budget. Every asset competes with instant load. We design for small bundles: system fonts, vector icons, lazy images.
What we deliver
- Discovery. Users, jobs to be done, competitors, the channel the app will be launched from.
- Flows and wireframes. Every path from the bot message to the completed action, including errors and empty states.
- Prototype. Clickable Figma prototype tested on a phone inside a Telegram test bot.
- UI and design system. Components mapped to the Telegram UI kit or a custom set, tokens for colors, spacing and typography, both themes, iOS and Android variants.
- Handover. Specs, assets and a review of each sprint’s implementation.
Design for conversion inside Telegram
Mini Apps are often opened from a channel post or an ad, which means the user is mid-scroll and impatient. We design first sessions around a single outcome (place an order, play a round, claim a reward), ask for nothing the SDK already provides (name, language, theme), and place share and invite actions where they are natural.
For games, we add art direction, character and UI design, Spine or Lottie animations and the HUD design that keeps tapping satisfying. For e-commerce, product cards, filters and a checkout that completes in two screens.
Design is included in every full-cycle project and available separately for teams with their own developers.
